All Things Green- Wknd Snapshots.

Happy Monday to ya! Hope you had a weekend full of green things. I can’t wait to hear about all the St. Patty’s Day races.
My weekend was full of fun in the sun and running with friends who love festive socks as much as I do.

Saturday morning was our last long-ish run until next weekend’s half marathon! I am kind of excited about running Rock N Roll Dallas…it will be my 4th time running this race! Hopefully it will be just as much fun as last year.
We had a 9 mile run planned but I bumped it up to 10 just because I love me some double digits. Kept it at an easy 9-ish pace with a couple of 8:30 miles thrown in there.

That afternoon I ventured out over to The Shops at Legacy for some green cervezas and live music with friends. Dancing the day away on into the night.

Sunday was a reeal low key day. I had planned on doing some yoga but I decided on a rest day. It felt so nice…the sweetness of doing nothing.
I had breakfast with mama at Cindi’s and we caught up a bit…sharing a big stack of pancakes and fruit. That’s how we roll.

How was your weekend? Who celebrated St. Patty’s and/or ran a festive race?

  1. I had pancakes too except I made them and put some green sprinkles in them for my lil guy haha love the green socks and way to go on your long run. I was supposed to do 9-10 and only had time for about 8.5. We are both running this weekend, can’t wait!

  2. Looks like you had an awesome time and I’m loving the festive socks! No St. Patty’s day races for me this weekend–the 5K in my area was really expensive! I am signed up for the big Shamrock Shuffle race in Chicago, but that’s not happening until the first weekend of April, so I guess I’ll get to bust out my green gear then. 🙂 Glad you had a great weekend!

    • The Shamrock Shuffle race sounds great Beth! I bet there are lots of fun races in Chi-town 🙂 I miss it…will have to make it back up there for the marathon (and some Garrett’s popcorn), maybe next year!

  3. Looks like you had a fun weekend! SLC doesn’t do a whole lot for St. Patrick’s Day. Of course all the bars were packed with people drinking too much though…I was not one of them. 🙂

  4. I’m so excited for your half marathon. I have one coming up in May and it’ll be my first half marathon since, (gulp), 2010. Holy crap. I better get on my half marathon game. 🙂 You and your running girls are too cute. Love it.
