Been There, Run That and Faves a Day Early.

Happy Friday! I know it’s not really Friday, but in my little world it is since tomorrow is my birthday and I will be off from work πŸ™‚
I walked into the office this morning to this little sweet surprise from my coworkers. Fun dΓ©cor and they know me and my running tendencies so well. 26.2 – been there, RUN that.
This weekend I’m looking forward to enjoying some time with my honey who is driving up to Dallas from where he lives in Houston Friday morning. I was going to pace the Irving half marathonΒ on Saturday but decided I would rather enjoy my time with loved ones and friends.
And this hottie.
Will probably do a little fun birthday run on my own though…cuz that’s a tradition.
So, since it’s Friday over here at thedancingrunner how about we talk about my faves – a day early? Yeah let’s do that.
-Free birthday drink over at Starbucks. Yeah, I enjoyed mine a little bit early but it was so worth it. Β Gotta love those perks of being a ‘bucks gold card member.
-The perfect wedges. I have some similar to these in black but I have to get some in this color to go with all of my sundresses.
-Anything Paris themed. Plus reading about this girl’s adventures makes me seriously want to book a flight there. Until then I will have to just enjoy my little Eiffel tower at home and keep my jewelry on it.
-Chevron maxi dress? Yes. Must have.
-Birthday fro yo. Nuff said.
-The name of this half marathon. Can’t wait to run it in June. I will actually be racing it and I’m so excited to get my jalapeno on.

  1. Happy Birthday! If you can you should book a trip to Paris. It’s an amazing city, the food, culture, shopping, and the food. LOL.

My guilty birthday treat will be a Creme Brulee Cupcake from this spot called Kitchentte in NYC. Calories don’t count our your born day!

    Enjoy your day!

  2. My dream destination is anywhere in the Italian countryside. But I think I’m planning to go to France next September to run the Marathon du Medoc. Enjoy your day today and have a wonderfully happy birthday with your love!

  3. I love the name of that race! Do they give you jalepenos to eat when you cross the finish line? haha- that might be kinda gross.
HAPPY B-DAY! Enjoy the weekend with friends and family!

  4. Coming out of lurking to wish you a Happy Birthday! Looks like you have a fabulous one planned. I just returned from Paris two weeks ago. I ran the Paris marathon. It was my first time to Paris and my first marathon. A completely AWESOME experience. Love the race name and good luck on your next run!

  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Your running tradition sounds great, I really like that idea.

Sounds like a good weekend is in the works. Amen to the Starbucks Gold Card.

    That dress is uber cute.

OK – can’t wait for bday pics!
