BP and My Very First.

This morning’s workout- 1 hour of Bodypump followed by 3 miles on the treadmill. Rolled out of bed this morning and squeaked into class right at 5:45 am. I have bible study tonight with my church group so I knew it all had to be done this morning. Felt good to bust it out and shock the body by doing something different.

The instructor who teaches the class is this super spunky chick who is seriously ripped and jacked…AND she just had a baby not too long ago. I need whatever mojo she’s sippin’ on.
I sported my Chitown marathon pullover nike top from 10.10.10. Good memories right there. My very first 26.2.

We did a lot of moves that I hadn’t done in a while and my favorite one is always the clean and press with the barbell & weights. Definitely plan on throwing in more BP into my usual workout routine.
Oh and it wouldn’t be a great workout without refueling with some green power juice afterwards. Lotsa spinach added for good measure.

I am thinking I should get my hands on this tank top…it would definitely motivate me to take more BP classes and get my lift on.

  1. I did some strength training last night and today is my rest day which I am very happy about. I did a legs/glutes workout on Sunday and I am still feeling the pain. I think lifting definitely gets my endorphins going. I love being able to go over to the free weights with all the guys and hold my own. You should definitely rock that green tank, love it!

  2. I love the tank–you should totally get it! 🙂 I haven’t tried Body Pump but have heard lots of good things about it. My gym doesn’t offer it, but I am definitely going to be upping my strength routine. I’m scheduled for a rest day, but I might go cross train a bit or go on a short, slow run if my legs are feeling up to it.

  3. Love that tank ❤ I'd get it if I were you. I lifted today – PRed in deadlifts, a couple pounds over my bodyweight for 10 reps + 125 for a couple reps. My hammies are doooone.

  4. Nice workout! That’s so early, but it’s nice to get it out of the way. That’s a cute jacket and what a cool souvenir. My first half was last June called the Utah Valley Marathon. I can’t wait to do my first full, I just need to bite the bullet and do it!

  5. LOVE the shirt!!! And I still have to take that class. It’s so popular — or so I know a ton of people that take it!!! The “Y” I am thinking of joining has that class (along with so many others). My MIL told me to wait until they have specials and waive the membership fee — smart chick.
