Hi friends! I am back from a little weekend getaway and feeling rather refreshed. This morning was a little tough to get up but I managed and taught my early bird spin class! Definitely worth the wake up call.
Friday afternoon I road tripped it out to Houston to visit my dad for Father’s Day weekend. I have been to H-town so many times but it was my first time driving there solo. I actually enjoyed the drive and just kind of zoning out to my music. It took me about 3 1/2 hours coming and going so I made pretty good time both ways. Lots of this yummy stuff was consumed in the process. Thank you Starbucks.
I spent lots of time with the boyfriend too…just maxin’, relaxin’ and checking out new spots. Saturday afternoon we had brunch on the patio at The Chelsea Grill in the museum district.
E got down on some chicken and waffles…of course I had to sneak a bite or two.
I enjoyed some delicious breakfast tacos w/ egg whites, chorizo, cheese and bacon on corn tortillas. Decadent but delish!
We were basically lazy all weekend which was lovely. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Sunday we met up with my dad and his girlfriend Ann. She is super sweet and we always have a great time with them both.
We ate at a restaurant inside the beautiful Omni hotel. I loved this little manmade river with all of the fish and they gave us food to feed the fishies with.
Eric decided to serenade me with a little diddy on the piano…he’s such a charmer.
Overall I had a wonderful weekend with my two favorite men! Can’t wait to be back in Houston to spend more time with them both.
How was your weekend? Did you celebrate Father’s Day with your dad?
What are some of your goals for the week?
I’m teaching 4 more spin classes this week, running, and I hope to get some strength training in before coaching a new marathon training program this coming weekend over at Luke’s!
