18 Miles, Cuban Cuisine and Impulse Buys…Wknd Recap.

Hello hello! Back to the grind. Morning workout is done and out of the way – taught a speedy 55 minute ride with my a.m. cycle crew. We attacked lots of rolling hills and got ‘er done.
Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was restful…started off with a long run of course. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
Saturday morning I was up bright and early to get some miles in. Already 80 degrees at 5:30 am. Nice.

2nd 18 miler of the season. I felt good about this run. Took it easy and enjoyed the morning with the running group that I coach over at Luke’s. They were scheduled for 14 miles with hill repeats. So I did a 2 mile warm up solo, 14 with them, and finished off the last 2 on my own. The hills were no joke! It was fun doing it with friends though. My final lap was the fastest just under a 9 minute pace. Love when that just kinda happens.
I’ve got one final 20 mile run in 2 weeks…then it’s TAPER time scaling back the miles to prepare for 26.2! 4 weeks of training left. I am feeling good and ready to get this one behind me. Fosho.
Watch out Erie…these 4 ladies are comin’ for ya. Hello GIRLS TRIP fun.

After the run of course I took it easy, recovered, took a nap. Went to lunch with my mama. We discovered this new Cuban spot about a block away from her house. This place has only been open 3 weeks and they already have great Yelp reviews. My kinda spot.
Loved the decor on the walls.
Mama had the pollo guisado which was the hit of the day. I definitely should have ordered that instead. It was chicken stew with carrots, potatoes and all kind of yumminess in the mix.
I ordered these tortillas filled with zucchini and cheese, spicy cole slaw, and plantains on the side. It was as good as it looks.
Saturday night I was super lame, in bed around 10 pm grandma style. Nothing more to say about that.
Sunday I grabbed an iced Americano from the local ‘bucks and met up with my girl Natalie to do some retail therapy at the outlets. It was tax free weekend so everyone and their grandma was out and about purchasing back to school clothes for their kiddos and what not. Of course I would go and purchase the one thing that is not tax free. Hello new Michael Kors signature tote. Nice to meet you.
Total impulse buy. But whatevs.
I think an all new love affair has begun with my boo MK.
Oh and I did some yoga. It was nothing short of amazing.
How was your weekend? Did anyone race, long run, PR?
What’s the last thing that you impulse bought?
