Pretty sure the best way to start Monday is with an amazing workout (55 minutes of spin) followed up by this tasty breakfast. Happy morning oats here with a mountain of nuts and blueberries.
Hope you had a lovely weekend! Mine was filled with much needed relaxation and a little bit of running. I started things off early Saturday with an easy 10 mile run in my ‘hood.
It was actually nice because I got some much needed rest and didn’t start that run til about 9 am. It felt good to get up just a little bit later than usual and knock it out. I thought it would be warmer but was more than happy with those chilly temps! It was 40 degrees for most of the run.
Later on I met up with a friend for brunch at my favorite spot, followed up by church. I love the concept of going to a laid back church service on Saturday night then having the entire day Sunday to kick back and enjoy a little r & r.
I had some discount passes so on Sunday my bestie Natalie and I met up for a girls day at the Spa Castle.
When you check in they give you this fancy watch that allows access to your own locker…plus you can purchase stuff like drinks and snacks and it keeps all the data on there til you’re done. Fun!
This place is very similar to King Spa except a total upgrade! I felt like we were in Vegas. They have a bunch of amazing saunas, cabanas, hot tubs, indoor/outdoor pools, and yummy food/smoothies. They even had a swim up bar! How awesome is that.
We really enjoyed the Hinoki hot tub. I could have stayed in there all day.
One of my favorite saunas was the color therapy room…just a fun spot to kick your feet up, loosen up the muscles and de-stress.
The hottest sauna was the bulgama/clay oven room – 189 degrees! I could hardly stay in there for 5 minutes…crazy hot but you feel amazing when it’s over.
After our spa day I went over next door for some fro yo…best way to end the weekend is definitely with rainbow sprinkles.
How was your weekend? Did you do anything relaxing or fun?
