TGIFriday Faves.

Happy Friday to you! I don’t know about you but this weekend could not have come at a better time. I’m in need of a little r and r for sure. Work has been hectic and I just want to let my hair down a little bit. I’m something like a caged animal ready to be set free. 
So…cheers to the freakin’ weekend. 
Some of my favorites this week
5 Reasons Why Every Runner Should Do Yoga. They forgot number 6…because it just plain feels awesome. All I know is I come out of there feeling ZEN and happy about life. And no I don’t care that I’m the runner in the class that does not look super limber. I just go with the flow. This was definitely me my very first time doing yoga a few years ago but I can say that I’ve definitely made some progress. 
-Coconut water of course…I am officially addicted to natural Zico. I’m going to stock my fridge with this stuff for after my runs this weekend. 
-Love that the folks from the Dallas Marathon sent me a souvenir shirt along with a sweet little note. Even though the race was called off due to the Icepocalypse. Thanks so much marathon peeps! See you in 2014. 
-Layered pearls. Carrie Bradshaw did it right. Classic. 
-OPI Bubble Bath. Such a pretty nail color.
-I have a strange new obsession with beets in juice form. So much that I have been searching beet smoothie recipes all week. I love this juice from Nekter Juice Bar…beets, kale, apple, celery and more amazingness. Yum.

  1. I’ve probably told you this before, but I’m SO not a yoga person. I think it’s great for those of you that love it. I wish I could like it, but I just don’t think it’s in me. Lol. That cartoon is exactly how I feel during yoga. Lol.

  2. Bummer about the race!! i know how that feels after NYC in 2012 😦
    I totally need to get back into yoga though – going to start forcing myself to go on wednesday nights!

    • Oh I definitely had to adjust my schedule after the race was canceled…it threw off my 10 before 30 😉 but I made the readjustment so I think I’ll still get all my races in! Glad you are a yoga lover too 🙂

  4. I love yoga and although I use to go to bikram on a regular, because of my schedule, I recently have been doing a daily practice on my own. I love it that you can do it anywhere. I also love coconut water, it taste really good after a bikram class or a long run. yum!

  5. I love your yoga cartoon- I have got so stiff since I abandoned all other excercise for running, but going back to Pilates next week and hope I can add a little ‘bendability’ to my creaky old bones !
