Great Day to Play Along.

I’m finally getting around to this! Thank you Kristina for the Liebster award nomination. I have received nominations like this before but I figured it would be a great day to play along. I have to say that I really love this community and the friendships I’ve gained from reading blogs.  I’m truly thankful for you all!

The rules are to share 11 random facts about yourself, answer the questions provided by the nominator and then pass it on. So let’s get to it!

-I’m an only child. Spoiled rotten and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
-My morning cup of coffee is crucial. Preferably dark roast.

Exactly.
-I work in television production and graduated college with a broadcast journalism degree.
-The first job I had out of college was working behind the cameras at a local news station. I moved up within the company and soon became an assignment editor working in the newsroom. It was an exciting, yet stressful gig but I’m very thankful for that opportunity.
-I wear a lot of black. And leopard. It’s my thing.

-My high school was less than 3 percent Black, and then I went to a college that was about 95 percent Black. As funny as it sounds, college was a huge culture shock for me.

  1. Wow, had a similar experience – my high school was about 10-15% black and college was like 95% black – and yes, it was a culture shock for me too. Lol. Didn’t know you also worked in TV Production – good stuff! Enjoy Puerto Rico! I love it there, got married there and can’t wait to go back for vacay some time in the future! 🙂

  2. I loved this! I feel like we’re long lost (only child) sisters! My high school was super diverse, we had almost every flag represented. Then I chose to go to the 19th least diverse college (unknowingly). Culture shock, like whoa. You are so lucky to be working your dream job(s). Hopefully one day I can say the same thing 😉
