Hope you all had a marvelous weekend! I did what I’d like to call a Chelsea style brick workout this morning- taught an hour of spin then ventured outside for a run in the sun.
4 steamy miles around the hilly neighborhood near the gym. I got to explore a few of the houses in the area so it was a good time.
Things are really starting to heat up this week around these parts. Before you know it we will be in the triple digits. I’ll enjoy the ‘mild’ summer heat while it lasts.
Let’s backtrack to the weekend! After my 10 miler on Friday I went out with H.M.F. that night. We explored a new to me wine bar and had a little bit of riesling. They gave us these cognac/sample glasses to try the wine but we loved the glasses so much we kept them to drink out of. I think I need some of these for my apartment.
Saturday morning I taught a spin class. My 4th that week. Helping out a friend. A lot of my regulars showed up so it was a fun ride with my buddies.
Most of the rest of the weekend was amazingly relaxing. Thank goodness. This was my view all of Saturday and some of Sunday.
I also squeezed some yoga in there. 90 minutes of vinyasa flow at The Yoga Factory. I had a groupon deal so I needed to cash it in. The instructor was awesome and came over and gave me a massage during savasana. If that’s not rejuvenating I don’t know what is. A massage and yoga in the same session? I’m sold.
Oh and I also had brunch with mama. Crabcakes benedict is the best way to end Sunday funday.
