Confessions of a Cycle Instructor and Weds Spin Playlist.

Well hi there! It has been a great start to my hump day. The barista that served my iced coffee this morning…he was a total cutie, and then he told me that the person in the front of me in the drive thru paid for my drink. Yes, there are still some good people out there in the world. And some cuties.

Let’s get to this week’s spin playlist! But first I have a little fess up session to get out of the way. Some confessions of an indoor cycling instructor…here it goes.

-A lot of times I make up my routines/playlists and change stuff at the last minute. Depending on my mood. It’s good to always change it up.

-I keep my spin shoes in the car always…you never know when you have to teach/sub a class! Those babies come in handy.

-Yes, I dance on and OFF of the bike. Kind of like this guy.

-I have a padded seat. Some say that’s for beginners but I love it when my tushy is comfortable!

-I also love it when my students dance/and or look like they are rocking out on the bike. It shows me they are enjoying themselves and having fun.

-During a set of sprints I love it when the members are working so hard it shows on their faces. Go hard or go home!

-My favorite part of a cycle class is always the hills. I love pushing myself through a really hard hill set (and when there’s a good song so go along with it)

-Second favorite part is accelerations. 15 seconds going hard…10 seconds of recovery. Rinse and repeat.

-My favorite day of the week to teach is Wednesday.

Haha and there are more confessions where that came from…maybe I’ll have to do a part 2 in the future.

Here’s my playlist for tonight! I’m teaching my 3rd class of the week tonight and one tomorrow night. Let’s go for a ride!

  1. Hooray for free Starbucks! You deserve it. Someday I will make it to one of your classes. Someday… 🙂 I know nothing about teaching spin classes, but I definitely will switch things up in the middle of the yoga classes I teach. The tricky part is trying to remember exactly what sequence I took my students through so we can do the same thing on the other side.
