Happy Monday…hope all is well in your world. Maybe you have the day off for MLK? I’ll be at work…I taught spin this morning, and now I’m at my desk sipping on coffee all the day long.
Let’s backtrack to the weekend, shall we? I have to say it was a good one. Filled with good eats, running, and fun with friends.
Saturday started off with quite the bang. Getting my training in for the 50K (6 week countdown til I hit ultrarunner status!!) I basically just went and spent the entire morning in the park. Thankfully we had some stellar weather to keep me going. Ahh yes, I do love Texas in January.
After the run it was a whole lot of nothing, rest mostly….I put my feet up with my compression socks. Oh yes, and sushi. Spicy tuna for the win.
Sunday I had another run on the schedule so I went ahead and knocked that one out too. It was a good 90 minute run just jamming to my tunes.
Then I had brunch with Natalie at our favorite spot, Frankie’s. Temps were in the 60s…great patio weather.
How cool are the bottles on the wall by the way? Seriously awesome.
I ended the day with some restorative yoga. I have to tell you restorative is my new thing. I need something to shut my brain off after going 100 miles an hour all the time.
This is what I’ll be working on this week. Keeping it simple.
