Day In the Life and a Blueberry Pineapple Passion Smoothie.

-6 am- Roll outta bed…talk myself into getting in a run. Which I did this morning…10K to the tune of the sunrise.

-7 am- Come home, stretch. Do some yoga, core and/or strength work. Sometimes I do this before a run if I’m feeling spunky.

-8:30 am- Out the door to fight traffic and make it to work on time.

-9 am- Sipping coffee, eating a little breakfast…maybe cranking out a blog post…all while checking emails at the office. Multitasking at it’s finest.

-11 am- Well…so I work in local TV doing some writing and producing. My big girl job 🙂 It’s not something I discuss much on the blog. But around this time of day we have a live show. I’m usually where all of the fun behind the scenes stuff goes down. It’s a good time.

-1 pm- Lunch time! Hit up the Sunflower Shoppe or Whole Foods and grab a quick bite…or bring in a tasty salad with a ton of cherry tomatoes.

-5:30 pm- Clock out from work and head to the gym to teach spin. We usually just party on the bike. Also…sometimes I teach in the morning. Yes…I juggle many hats.

-7:15 pm- I’m done with the gym and headed home. I usually throw together a quick meal or have some leftover salmon from the night before. Oh and yes, plop down on my couch to watch some tv with a glass of wine.

Yep…that’s pretty much it! The work week for me is pretty routine and I love it that way. What really helps to make it fun and breaks it up is teaching spin. I just get to let loose for the day and have fun rocking out to some music.

Switching gears a bit…after my workout this a.m. I whipped together a delicious smoothie that I think you will love! Packed with blueberries which are filled with happy antioxidants. Enjoy!

What you need-
-1 banana
-1/2 cup frozen pineapples
-Handful of blueberries/strawberries
-1 cup milk of your choice (I use coconut almond milk)

Blend and serve! Top with more fresh fruit and pretend you are on the islands…you can even put an umbrella in it.

What does a day in the life for you look like?

  1. a typical day is back and forth for me to, just like you. Exercise, work, clean, break, work, clean, etc. I use to do 2-a-day workouts but recently I’m just doing one. I started a new job recently so I’m having to switch up the schedule a bit, but that’s a good thing!

  2. You are so full of life!! I love your routine and I love how great you are at staying to your schedule!! You are one dedicated woman!! Have a lovely Wednesday!! XOXO

  3. What a good idea for a blog post. Maybe that will be my post tomorrow, or Thurs. That smoothie does sound delicious & so does a salad. Now i want the turkey feta salad from Kneaders. Yum!!!

  4. 1. I have been dying to make some smoothies… Just haven’t had time to get the ingredients. I don’t think a ground beef with apples and bananas would be a good smoothie combo (as those are some of the ingredients in my pantry/fridge).

    2. Your job looks so cool. I love it!!!

    3. My life is scattered depending on what day it is. Once summer hits and Lili’s out of school, I’ll have some type of normalcy.

    XOXO

  5. Your days look fantastic! Mine are a messy jumble of putting out fires and trying to catch up on things. The only constant is lifting in the mornings and my 2 spin classes. Everything else moves around like crazy!

    • I totally understand!! I think we are all busy and have to find a balance…running remains a constant in my life as well as those other things you mentioned. At the end of the day how you handle it and your attitude determines if it makes or breaks you.

    • Oh yeah for sure there are stressful times when deadlines need to be hit and such but it’s the nature of the beast…for the most part it’s very fun!! And I get to tap into my creative side!
