Hope you all had a great weekend. I enjoyed lots of fun in the sun…running, fun with friends and loved ones! Let’s do a quick recap.
I had a 12 mile run on tap for Saturday morning…just enjoying some spring flowers and sunny skies. 60s in the morning and in the mid 80s by the afternoon. Definitely not complaining about that. I could get used to this.
I have so say I was pretty wiped out though after this run. I think my body needs to start acclimating to the heat and humidity that we get in the spring and summer. So I enjoyed some chillin’ out on the couch for a while. Much needed ‘me time’.
Me time equals selfies and a manicure. I love me some pretty nails.
Then I had a little sushi dinner date and we tried quail eggs for the first time…quail shooters to be exact. Have you ever tried this? It’s a raw quail egg shot mixed with a little sake, sriracha and some other stuff. It had a nice spicy kick to it! I guess you could say it was kind of a delicacy? I was nervous to try it but actually ended up really loving it.
Sunday I slept in since I usually do church Saturday nights and then went over to mamas for a while. We had brunch and then did some shopping in downtown Plano. Love this place…they have the best tuna melt in town.
I’m also loving the extra daylight we have been having in the evenings so I went for an easy few miles along the trail to end the weekend.
I followed that up with some shopping at Sprouts Farmers Market. It’s kind of my favorite thing to do on Sunday nights…to go here and just walk around…I know, wild life. My favorite fruit right now are these tangelos. So I was very excited that they were on sale. Ya know…it’s the little things that bring me joy in life. Get ‘em while they’re hot.
