Sparkly New Gym, Main St. Festival, and Wknd Recap.

Hi there! How was your weekend? Hope you had a good one.

I got my morning started teaching early bird spin cycle and followed it up with some strength work. I love our shiny new black bikes!

This past weekend was fairly chill but I got some good runs in, prepping for the Memorial Day Marathon which is in exactly 1 week! 26.2 number 14. Bring it.

I had to teach a class on Saturday morning at our newly remodeled 24 Hour Fitness gym in Bedford. There was a big event at the gym for the reveal! Myself and another instructor team taught the 8 am class. We split up the time and I taught the first half and she taught the second. Overall it was a fun morning!! I enjoyed seeing the sparkly new gym. It needed a serious upgrade.

After class I saved up a little energy so I set out for a run in the park. 11 easy miles and the legs surprisingly felt spunky and good.

That evening I went out on a little date to the Main St. festival in Grapevine. I was so happy the weather stayed rain free for most of the day! It was still sticky and humid though.

I went to church Saturday so Sunday was a little funday! I went out to the lake for 8 miles with some speedy strides in between.

Overall it was a great weekend of activity and I even got to catch up on some shows. Has anyone seen Being Mary Jane?? Ya’ll, it’s a must watch. I’m seriously hooked. And I may have a tiny girl crush on Gabrielle Union.

What were you up to this weekend? How’s the weather looking in your neck of the woods?

  1. Girl!!! I rarely watch (and keep up) with ANY shows these days, but Being Mary Jane is def. a must watch for me too! That, and Walking Dead (lol). Can’t wait for the new season! 🙂

  2. Nice…it’s like Christmas came early when the new Spin bikes are delivered! Are they complete with SpinPower computers that show RPM, gear/resistance level and power/WATTs? Enjoy the (NEW) Ride…and have a great week!
