I thought I’d put up a pic of me at the state of the art Dallas Cowboys practice facility (you must go, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL) to celebrate the Cowboys winning yesterday!! Last week was also a WIN with weekly mileage. I was able to get in just over 91 miles of running last week!! Let’s recap and see how it all went down.
Monday AM- 7.23 sunny miles at lunchtime. We had off and on cooler and warmer temps last week (typical Texas fall temps) So I opted for the warmer miles. Felt good to knock it out.
Monday PM- 3.03 miles after teaching class at the gym. I wanted to get in just over 10 miles total for the day so just got it done.
Tuesday AM- 10.12 early miles with IRC. There’s kind of a speedy dude (when I say kind of, I mean sub 3 Boston marathoner. He’s a beast) that likes to do his recovery runs with us in the mornings. Works out great because we usually run 7-8 minute miles while talking the entire time and he tells stories. It’s kind of like morning story time hour. I just love it.
Tuesday PM- 4.13 easy miles before the gym. Just had some time to kill.
Wednesday AM- 8.22 solo miles in the morning. Thank you mother nature for giving us some cooler fall mornings FINALLY! It is about time that I finish a morning run and am not completely soaked from heat and humidity afterwards.
Wednesday PM- 3.03 tempo-ish miles before a friend’s birthday party that evening. Glass of vino earned.
Thursday AM- 11.03 miles back with the run club. Cotton candy skies are my favorite.
Thursday PM- 3.33 miles, quick cool down after teaching a class at gym.
Friday- REST DAY
Saturday- I ran the Oktoberfest 50k that morning! I signed up randomly for this race after winning the Piney Woods 100k not long ago. So this race was clearly just for fun. And hello, for the festivities afterwards as well! I ended up placing top 3rd overall female (out of the 10 ladies who ran the race) and was not expecting that AT ALL.. So I’d have to say it was a good day. Recap to follow this week!
Sunday- 10.07 mies after sleeping in a bit. It actually felt so good to get the legs going back on the road again. Motion is lotion.
