Hi there and happy Monday! This has been a busy day already (gotta work on MLK day, how lovely!) but I’m here to recap some miles from last week! Let’s get right to it.
I scaled back the miles a bit last week in order to prepare for my next ULTRA – the Running the Rose 54k in East Texas! Can’t wait to be among the tall piney trees!! It’s like running in a woodsy wonderland.
Monday- 5.13 evening miles while doing some people watching. I’ve been loving my evening runs lately and just switching things up in general. GOTTA KEEP IT SPICY. Haha someone recently made fun of me calling running ‘spicy’ but you know what it is one of my many ‘Chelsea-isms’ – just roll with it.
Tuesday AM- 7.32 miles with a few rolling hills thrown in there for good measure. Hashtag miles for breakfast.
Tuesday PM- 2.23 miles after teaching spin class. It was a mini cool down run since I had energy left. Fun getting that double run day in.
Wednesday AM- 4.32 miles before a busy day! Sometimes you’ve gotta get it in where it fits in.
Wednesday PM- 3.22 dark evening miles, felt good to get the legs moving again after the long work day. Plus the weather was pretty great. Pleasant temperatures in January are my jam.
Thursday AM- Of course once we have a stretch of good weather in true Texas fashion here come the storms. We had a lightning storm that started towards the end of my run but still got it in. 6.31 miles done.
Thursday PM- 2.01 miles after teaching a class at the gym. Out and back on the lake.
Friday- 5.21 miles with some thick humidity. I am never a big fan of humidity so relaxed miles but it got done.
Saturday- Back with the WRRC gang! 12 miles turned into 13.3. Funny how that happens. Time flies when you’re having fun.
Sunday- REST DAY. Much needed and a fun weekend fueled with good eats with friends. Rice bowl with egg and avocado for the win.
And there you have it!
How was your weekend? Are you gearing up for any races?
