Hey there and happy Monday to ya! I’m here to recap some miles from last week!! The weather lately in Texas has been quite lovely for some patio action and of course RUNNING! I was able to get in just over 61 miles in last week.
Finally starting to feel back like my “higher mileage” running self after 3 straight 60+ mile weeks. So woohoo for that.
Let’s see how it all went down!
Monday- 5.12 sunset miles. Honestly I’ve been loving my Monday evening miles, just de-stressing from the usual busy start of the work week. Relaxed recovery miles for sure.
Tuesday AM- 7.22 miles in the neighborhood. It was a great run and finally felt like I could pick up the pace a bit. And it was quite a peaceful morning until I ran into this strange (previously naked) man who likes to roam around the lake again.
Does anyone remember when I posted about this a while ago?! Well apparently he was arrested and then released and is back to his scantily clad ways. This time when I saw him he was wearing a few more clothes.
Should I report him? This time, like I said he was wearing clothes. Daisy dukes and thigh high stockings. But, same guy! Maybe he just has a fetish? He doesn’t seem to bother anyone. I don’t know.
I mean – people are even talking about him on my next door app? Crazy.
Tuesday PM- 2.23 miles after teaching class at the gym. Just getting in some double run day miles in for the day. NO scantily clad man sightings…in the evening.
Wednesday AM- 4.32 miles in the morning with crazy wind but made it happen. Not sure why I always insist on running on the lake when it is windy. But got it done.
Wednesday PM- 3.23 miles watching the sunset and winding down from the work day. Nice-ish sorta progression miles. I’ve been doing a lot of (super slow) time on my feet runs lately so it was nice to push it a bit. 2nd run of the day.
Thursday- 8.03 miles with rolling hills for good measure. Back to running in the mornings super early again. Zero dark thirty with the breakfast run club.
Friday- 10.20 miles! Felt good to get back to my Friday 10 milers. Really good. Just listening to my jams and rocking out to the tune of the sunrise.
Saturday- I had some allergy stuff going on (the allergy forecast down here has been insane lately) so made sure to take it easy on this 16.03 mile run. Slowly building myself back up on the weekends. But ran faster Saturday and got in two double digit back to back days. Yay for that.
Sunday- Sorta active recovery/rest type of day. Still run streakin. 5.12 recovery miles done.
Plus brunch for good measure. Shared some steak and eggs for the win.

P.S. 247 miles in the month of February – 41 hours of running. Feeling good feeling great.
