Random Thoughts Thursday.

This morning’s run was super cloudy but perfect fall style weather! It was still humid but definitely cooler. Fall has without a doubt been in the air here in Texas.

Right now I’m listening to someone chop up some paper with this super industrial chopper thing and it is like listening to nails on a CHALKBOARD. Why they have to slice up paper so early in the day I do not know?! My Trader Joe’s fall is tea is keeping me calm. Some of the pet peeves of socially distance style working in the office…wishing I could be working from home right now. Ah well. Still thankful to even have a job…so thank you baby Jesus. Good looking out.

Speaking of Trader Joe’s. My two favorites right now. Butternut squash macaroni and cheese and this amazing tea. I do have a recipe by the way if you want to make the mac from home. Craving all the savory stuff lately. I have to have my tea every fall and I literally have had it every morning this week. Dare I say I’m enjoying it more than my coffee.

Now that fall is here I’m looking forward to getting back to running some longer distances. Starting with the 50k. I’ve run 100 milers but I have to say my favorite distance for the ultra is the 50 miler. It is just something about running 50 miles and winning top female that just makes my heart sing. Haha. Hachie 50 I do miss you. Hope to see you in 2021.

I think I have a new favorite Brooks road shoe. The Adrenaline. I’ve been running in this one lately and it is like running on clouds. So I think I’m going to retire my Pure Flows and go with this for a while.

Share some randomness with me today! What are your top 5 favorite race distances that you’ve completed?

50 miles, 100 miles, 26.2, 50k, and 5k. YES I love me a random speedy 5k every once in a while.

  1. I used to wear the Brooks Adrenaline and loved it. I ended up with turf toe, and went to the Ariel because it has a little more cushion in the toe. Both are great shoes.
