Day In the Life and a Blueberry Pineapple Passion Smoothie.

-6 am- Roll outta bed…talk myself into getting in a run. Which I did this morning…10K to the tune of the sunrise.

-7 am- Come home, stretch. Do some yoga, core and/or strength work. Sometimes I do this before a run if I’m feeling spunky.

-8:30 am- Out the door to fight traffic and make it to work on time.

-9 am- Sipping coffee, eating a little breakfast…maybe cranking out a blog post…all while checking emails at the office. Multitasking at it’s finest.

-11 am- Well…so I work in local TV doing some writing and producing. My big girl job 🙂 It’s not something I discuss much on the blog. But around this time of day we have a live show. I’m usually where all of the fun behind the scenes stuff goes down. It’s a good time.

-1 pm- Lunch time! Hit up the Sunflower Shoppe or Whole Foods and grab a quick bite…or bring in a tasty salad with a ton of cherry tomatoes.

-5:30 pm- Clock out from work and head to the gym to teach spin. We usually just party on the bike. Also…sometimes I teach in the morning. Yes…I juggle many hats.

-7:15 pm- I’m done with the gym and headed home. I usually throw together a quick meal or have some leftover salmon from the night before. Oh and yes, plop down on my couch to watch some tv with a glass of wine.

Yep…that’s pretty much it! The work week for me is pretty routine and I love it that way. What really helps to make it fun and breaks it up is teaching spin. I just get to let loose for the day and have fun rocking out to some music.

Switching gears a bit…after my workout this a.m. I whipped together a delicious smoothie that I think you will love! Packed with blueberries which are filled with happy antioxidants. Enjoy!

What you need-
-1 banana
-1/2 cup frozen pineapples
-Handful of blueberries/strawberries
-1 cup milk of your choice (I use coconut almond milk)

Blend and serve! Top with more fresh fruit and pretend you are on the islands…you can even put an umbrella in it.

What does a day in the life for you look like?

Enjoying the Moment and a Coconut Almond Green Smoothie.

This was just about the only thing to get me up and out the door this morning. Just a few miles soaking up the sun and enjoying the moment. Being in the present…yeah not so good at that. But I’m working on it.

After the run I did a quick strength/core workout in my living room that went a little like this. Repeat the set 4x w/ weights.

Switching gears a bit…I have a quick and easy Coconut Almond Green smoothie you can whip up to get you going for the work day! I was excited to bust out my fancy travel blender. Just blend, pop it out and go. Works for me.

Here’s what you need-
-1 cup spinach
-Handful frozen strawberries and/or bananas (I used both)
-Handful pineapples
-1/2 cup coconut almond milk (I used Almond Breeze)

Blend and serve! Top with more strawberries or shredded coconut and enjoy!
