Happiest of Fridays to you! It was one of those mornings where I kinda just popped out of bed for a run. Love when that happens. Especially since it has been a bit of a struggle bus week with the time change. But check out this glorious AM run view.

TGIF, happy Friday and all of that jazz! Hope you have a lovely weekend planned full of productive and fun things. I was up early this morning for a humid breezy run. The humidity was intense but it was nice and cool so that helped. I guess I had better enjoy these spring-like runs before it gets blazing hot outside. Summer time in Texas can be so brutal with triple digit temps so right now really is one of my favorite times of the year to run.

-Desi’s world record attempt. I love that elite runners are hoping on board the ULTRA train! Makes my soul happy.

My new favorite pampering facial scrub. Love Aveeno products. This one has been at the top of my list lately.

Roasted cauliflower queso. I feel that it is time that this happens.

-All of spring colors! Frankly I am forever obsessed with mint. I think it is high time I get my nails painted my favorite Essie shade.

Happy Friday to ya! Hope you have some good weather in your neck of the woods for the weekend! Things have made a beautiful turn here in Texas and it is basically spring. Cloud cover this AM for the run then the sun came out. Temps have been in the 60s and 70s all week! Woohoo for that.

I went to the cutest little café / boutique this week and discovered what I have been missing all of my life HORCHATA LIP BALM. Guilty pleasure that is for sure.

3 towns for your next RUN-CATION. Providence is an interesting option. I do love me some California for running.

My sweet new kicks. I’ve been running WILD all week. These babies are oh so comfortable and my tootsies love them.

5 types of foods to never eat before a run. I agree with the fiber. NOT A FAN and my tummy gets mad but I do love me some simpler more bland snacks. If I eat at all. Toast with PB or AB.

Hey there and happy Friday! I don’t know about you but I am super READY for some free time this weekend!! I was up for an early run before the busy workday and it was just what I needed. Working out the crazy thoughts in this brain of mine.

Post winter storm has been kind of nuts especially in my neighborhood with everyone working on repairs and such. I was so thankful to not experience any issues in my personal living space but a lot of folks did. It is one of those times where you really have gratitude for a (literal) roof over your head and running water. Real talk.

The fact that my tax return came in. Just in time to pay bills and rent HAHA. But hey, it does help to pay your taxes early. Well at least I have a few extra pennies to buy a pedicure.

Loved this mask I tried last night. It really gave my skin a nice glow and put some moisture back in. Especially after the crazy cold weather.

Happy Friday, TGIF and all of those good things! This morning was a run for my sanity. I tell you what it was a bit of a struggle bus fest because my bed was so cozy but I made it out the door in the chilly temps. The sunrise was quite glorious so all is well in the world.

Let’s get to my faves this week!

-I passed my 2nd to last test for EDG cycle at Lifetime Fitness!! With flying colors. Y’all I am so ready to get over this hill. My last ‘test out’ is also happening SOON, then they will be putting me on the schedule in the evenings like I was at 24. Soon and very soon I am going to be teaching again, social distance style. And it is a different format than I am used to but I love learning and adding things to my skill set and bag of ‘tricks’, so to speak.

Delectable (and creative) super bowl recipes. I think I’m going to make sheet pan shrimp nachos a thing.

How a run and a good night’s sleep might affect your immune response to the COVID vaccine. I actually signed up for mine so we will see what happens.

Happy Friday to ya! I got in some humid but beautiful miles by the lake this morning. It was a one of those ‘running is cheaper than therapy’ type of runs, that is for sure.

Hope you have a relaxing and/or productive weekend planned. I am READY for some free time. Work has been hectic and I just need to unplug my MIND. You feel me?

Happy Friday to ya! It is getting chilly down here in Texas – I enjoyed a lovely run this morning though before we had the temp drop!! I mean really. Texas weather is just crazy unpredictable sometimes. Love it.

Intrigued by the backyard ultra. Hmm…kinda makes me want to do another 24+ hour race. You’d think I’d be done after this one and then this one. To be honest, I think I’m too A.D.D. TO RUN more than 100 miles. Like really, I start thinking about the fact that I need groceries and gas in my car. Ha.

Happy Friday to you!! I got my day started with this glorious RUNrise. It was 53 degrees!!! I’ve been switching it up and running after work post 50k so starting the day with this sky was a treat! Morning miles and smiles for the win.

Happy Friday! This has been a busy week as I make preparations to head down to the country for some fun on the trails, social distancing style! Hope everyone has had a phenomenal week and is staying safe and healthy. 

I will be doing this race this weekend! Just some play time on the trails, you know. Think good thoughts for me please!! I’m excited to just get out into nature and ZONE out. I truly need it after this long year. Yes, I said year. These are my sentiments right about now. Pink diva Christmas tree is about to make a serious come back.
