TGIFriday Faves.

Hello and happy Friday to ya! Is it just me or is this week prior to the holiday been super lonnnnng?! Oh well, the holiday weekend is HERE and I could not be happier for the next several days off! Family time, friend time, lots of free RUN time! Let’s get it.

Without further ado let’s get to this week’s Friday faves!

24 slow cooker recipes under 300 calories. Lots of tasty finds on here!! I’ve actually never done eggs in the slow cooker before. This may have to be something I explore over the weekend.

All of the running under the Christmas lights this week. I went to a social run Weds night and we ran by the “house of a thousand Santas”?! Yeah. Kinda cool, kinda creepy.

There is a  UNICORN dessert bar in Dallas now open! I’m extremely intrigued. I’m going to have to venture over to Deep Ellum this weekend to see what it is all about.

The Dallas Jingle Bell run last night! Official results here. I think I did better than I thought I would do, considering I just ran a 100 miler 2 weeks AGO. And considering I did not care about doing well at this race AT ALL. Ha. Anyway, good times were had.

And there you have it! Have a marvelous holiday.

What are you up to this Christmas holiday? Any traveling!?
Staycationing it for me spending time with loved ones.

TGIFriday Faves.

Hi there and happy Friday to you! Hope you have some fun in store for the weekend!! There should be some running, holiday festivities and such on tap for me. Should be a good one! I am definitely looking forward to celebrating my epic 100 mile finish with good friends and fam. Plus, finally my legs are starting to move like normal. LOL so that is good.

Let’s get to this week’s faves!

A morning run with the Christmas lights. They are really doing it up in my hood with the festivities. I just love it.

My top songs from 2018 on Spotify. It is kinda fun to go back and reminisce. I could listen to pretty much all of those songs 100 times in a row each. Plus some good gems for teaching my spin class in there.

White chocolate peppermint pretzels? Oh this is going down. And soon.

This roasted broccoli recipe tastes kinda like Doritos. Now that I can get behind.

15 favorite running products of 2018. I do own some Brooks Levitates and I have to say they are excellent kicks for sure.

Have a great weekend!

What is on tap your your weekend? Any snazzy holiday parties?
Gift exchange party tonight, long run tomorrow AM, trail run club party tomorrow. Road runner club party Sunday.

TGIFriday Faves.

TGIF and happy Friday and all that jazz! I don’t know about you but I need me some weekend fun in my life! This weekend will be filled with running, some yoga-ing and lotsa friend time!! We are in for another pleasant weekend down in Texas. It kinda feels like springtime down here. Loving it while it lasts.

Let’s get to my faves from this week!

Obsessed with this song still. Loving this remix for spin class. My fellow instructors you must use it, it’s amazing.

Apparently the cleaning ladies at work are some Christmas loving savages. I threw this old holiday décor in the trash and they proceeded to take it OUT OF THE TRASH and back on my desk which I found this morning. Straight savages I tell ya.

SAD that this go round of The Real Housewives of Dallas is ending. I have to say though that Kameron really grew on me this season. Ha. She is soooo DALLAS it is just funny. I think the Dallas girls are my new favorites. Sorry RHOA.

Where are my vino lovers at. THIS WINE you must find. Apothic Inferno. I have looked for Inferno months and I found it you guys. Highlight of the whole week.

My pretty pink Christmas tree. Yes you are seeing double. Loving it! And yes I put my ultra runner buckles on there. Buckles are the new ornaments. Believe it.

Happy feel good shoes. Aren’t they the greatest? I am in love with booties of all kinds right now. Booties as in the shoes. LOL.

Have a great weekend!

Any fun plans this weekend?
Hopefully some brunching…running…you know the usual.

TGIFriday Faves.

Happiest of Friday to ya! Hope you have a great fun weekend planned. The weather here today and tomorrow is looking quite lovely! After temps in the 20s and 30s at the beginning of the week I am excited about a little bit of sunshine.

Let’s get into some of my faves from this week!

I am getting into all of the holiday beverages this week due to the temps dropping a bit. Loving this gingerbread tea from Celestial Seasonings. I love all of their holiday teas actually. This one is caffeine free so it is nice just to sip on at work while I get things done.

This song. For some reason it always makes me happy. It is a permanent fixture on the spin cycle playlist.

Taco Thursdays. Hello gluten free tacos with black beans and lemongrass rice. I am obsessed with this place. Also I think I will start making Taco Thursday a thing.

This article about jade rollers. Have you tried it? I’m thoroughly intrigued. Maybe I need to try it out. I really would just like to get a facial in general though since along with winter my skin gets so dry. Give me all of the serums and moisturizers.

A NAKED MAN RUNNING during my run this morning. I kid you not. Literally a naked man with nothing but black socks on blew right past me this morning in broad daylight (the sun was already up and everything) and it caught me by surprise I think I literally said ‘WOW’ out loud. Then I tried to take a pic but as you can see it is very blurry. But, day made I guess. Haha.

Have a great Friday!!

Hello and happiest of Fridays to ya! Hope you have some fun in store for the weekend. I’ve definitely got running, some tailgating and fun with friends on the agenda. But first let’s get to my faves from the week!

Post run sauna time this week at 24 Hour Fitness was much needed after slightly chilly morning runs. Seriously a great way to get rejuvenated after getting up crazy early. Love.

Have you guys heard about the EARNIN’ app? I am pretty sure this sounds like an ad but I promise you it is not. I personally think it is nice option to have every once in a while. Apparently you can cash out part of your paycheck BEFORE you get paid and they send it to you instantly? And then they just deduct whatever you cashed out, once you actually get paid. I can get on board with that.

8 running documentaries to get you inspired this winter. There are a couple on here that I actually haven’t seen. Love me some Spirit of the Marathon.

Back to wearing the straight hair for fall and winter and I’m actually loving that all of my summer highlights are gone! I think I’m going to keep the dark non chemical look for a while. My hair is actually totally au natural now, I don’t put any straighteners/keratin/Brazilian or craziness in it and it feels so good to have options. It’s super curly when I want to be and then I can just straighten it on a whim with a good quality flat iron and wear it however. I think I’ll be rocking it straight for a little while since the weather is cooler.

Hope you have a marvelous Friday!

What’s on your agenda for the weekend? Who is running the NYC MARATHON?!? If so best of luck!!!

TGIFriday Faves.

TGIF and happy Friday and all of that good stuff. Hope you have some fun times this weekend in store!! I definitely am looking forward to some Texas sunshine (yes the sun is back after the rain finally), friend time and long run time!! Let’s get to this week’s favorites.

Some Halloween social run fun. Okay if I can be honest it was more of a power walk since I ran that a.m. & we were handing out candy but I have not gone OUT out on a Thursday night in so freaking long. Hey, YOLO.

Um…excuse me…CROCKPOT CRUSTLESS PIZZA?! All the cheese though. Where do I sign up.

Running a Halloween race? Check these tips first.

3 creative ways to redefine your phone habits. I actually really like the phone box idea.

Friday sunrises. Aren’t they always magical? Yes and yes.

-Oh and it is NATIONAL PUMPKIN DAY. So please go celebrate and enjoy something yummy. You’re welcome.

Have a great weekend!

What is on tap for your weekend?!
Running, Halloween festivities and doing some adult-ish things.

TGIFriday Faves.

Happiest of Fridays to ya! Hope you have a great weekend in store. I’ve got lots of running and fun friend time on the agenda! Plus it looks like the sun will come out to play after the rain all week so should be a good one.

Let’s get to this week’s faves!

Preventing a kick in the gut. Someone asked me about this issue not long ago so I found the perfect article. Honestly for me, not overloading on the GU and excess calories is what does the trick. Also caffeine tends to mess with my tummy so I do it but in smaller doses. It definitely takes time to nail the nutrition stuff down with training and running. Trust me, I’ve been running marathons and ultras for nearly 10 YEARS. And I’m still freaking learning.

This Ciara song. HOT. My peeps in the spin classes that I teach love it.

Lovely Friday solo miles in the rain. It was everything.

STAY WILD. Love this coffee mug. Love all of my Pinterest finds.

This about Texas weather. It is OH SO TRUE especially this week. Man, I wasn’t really ready.

That’s all for this week! Have an awesome Friday.

What’s on tap for your weekend? I know a lot of you have your last longish run before NYC!! Excited for all of my blog friends and their training.

TGIFriday Faves.

Happy Friday! Hope you have some fun in store for the weekend! This week has been absolutely so super busy on the work front so I’m looking forward to a weekend full of running and r&r! Let’s get straight to my faves from this week.

Friday early RUNrise. What is funny about this run is that I jacked up my alarm for this morning and ended up missing the 5 AM group run (oops)- soooo I just ran at 6 something, solo by my favorite lake. And you know what? It was JUST WHAT I NEEDED. Like I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Especially the way this week has been. I needed the solo time. So, thank you baby Jesus for letting me slow down, sleep in a bit. And not rush off to the next destination. Just step outside my door to run and reflect. Good looking out.

Hold Fast to What is Good. Love this so much.

Mexican zucchini? Where do I sign up.

French woman share what they eat in a day. I mostly just like the fact that they don’t shy away from carbs. All the good things in moderation. All about it.

This post- It takes a village- my stupid crazy solo hundo. Um…could we talk about taking DEDICATION to a whole ‘nother level. And the cool part is that I know some of the pacers and that paced this lady. Freaking awesome. I love my trail running/ultrarunning community.

Have a great weekend!

What is on tap for your weekend?
Running, play time, relax time.

TGIFriday Faves.

Hey there and happiest of Fridays to you! Hope you have some fun weekend plans. I have a busy day (and weekend) in store so just thought I’d stop in. I did a big 20 miler this morning which was FANTASTIC. Hey…Friday long runs may be the new thing for me? You never know. I will be doing a longish run on Saturday too. Hashtag ultra training.

Anyway let’s get to this week’s faves!

21 things we all need. Actually this is an old article but still rings true. LOVE 1, 6, 12, 15.

-Right now I am on a Sade kick. I have no idea why. I just get enamored with certain artists at times. Her Love Deluxe album is where it’s at.

-Just the weather this week in general. Temps were AMAZING for my 20 mile run this morning. It was a bit of a chill run with a chill type of pace but just what I needed for today. Love.

-I am thinking I will be needing this “Sundays are for Football” tee from Express. Because people keep inviting me to football related events on Sunday fun day. Granted I could not have a care in the world about who the heck is playing but ya know the top sure is cute.

-And this. Just because it’s oh so true.

Have a great Friday!

Happiest of Fri-yays to ya! Hope you have some fun weekend plans in store. It has been a long week of work and I’m definitely ready to let a little loose! Let’s get to my faves from this week.

The thought of ALL THINGS FALL. Oh, and it is the day before the fall solstice!!! A.k.a. “fall eve”. So, even better.

Although it is basically fall, I’m still not over summer clothes. And I don’t think Texas weather is either. We may have a little cool down next week so I think I’m going to pull out my maxi dresses. I am a girlie girl at heart.

Running is a relationship with yourself. Could not agree more.

YES…I know I posted this yesterday but I’m going to post it again. Because it deserves recognition. Wine Wednesday with neighbor friends by the grill. Oh. And chicken jalapeño sausage is EVERYTHING.

-And this. Because it is a big mood. Today.

Have a great Friday!!

What is on tap for your weekend?
Running, friends, good times, repeat.
